Bring your walking shoes. Went to wizard world in 2014. That place is massive.
What hotel is the closest to the new venue?
I’m sure they will post the host hotel(s) and rates soon, but the Omni at CNN, Hilton Garden Inn and Embassy Suites at Centennial Olympic Park and The Glenn are the closest to GWCC.
I loved 2014 venue. Is this location as easy to get around as America’s Mart? Right in the middle of everything. The Westin and Hyatt were so close. Help!!
I hope they have more vendors than 2014. In one day we were able to see every exhibit, vendor, and star. Needed more comic book items, zombie related merchandise, and other.
I agree there need to be more vendors. I’ve heard this new venue is huge so I would think we will get more vendor booths!
Anyone think that Norman Reedus or Chandler Riggs will be there? Because I, if I can get the money, might be flying from England either next year or possibly the year after…
I went in both 2013 and 2014 to the Atlanta WSC, and BOTH Norman Reedus and Chandler Riggs were there BOTH times. So your chances are pretty good that they will be there again. They are normally filming at that time, and they film in Atlanta, so most of TWD actors/actresses attend the Atlanta WSC if they can…
Since you’ve been to previous events I was wondering if you could answer a couple questions? What does general admission exactly mean am I still going to be able to attend most of the panels that I want? “Rick” and “Daryl” being at the top of my list of whom I would die to meet and get autograph and picture
Hi ya’ll. I went both years and will return again in 2015. I do not do panels, but I can tell u that u MUST buy a photo op tix for each actor u wish to meet. Some/most actors have tables or booths and u can say hello or buy an autograph, but NO photos. They are strict about this. I have met them all basically, but I paid for photos with Andrew, Chandler, Norman, Michael, & Melissa. Others we chatted with and took pix with … away from the tables. I believe the company wants to cease the photo taking because the photographer makes his money from the private photos. But Norman gave us high fives, we talked to Danai outside the photo area and took a pix with her, etc. It’s just a fun time. See ya there!
Do you know if someone like your mom/dad could take a photo with their phone of you and an actor for free or do you have to pay.
You have to pay. The actors set their price.
Since Chandler lives here in the area, it’s pretty likely he’ll be here. Norman stays here in the area during this time bc they film on the weekends and he’s usually able to be here Sat. and Sun. unless he has something suddenly come up.
Does anyone know how much money tickets to meet the actors/actresses will be? Also, when will they go on sale? Thanks!
Went to Walker Stalker Atlanta 2014, it was awesome, with one exception. Photo ops where very unorganized.
We went to Wizard world Reno, in November 20141,saw TWD cast, photo ops were sooooo organized. This was the first time Reno had hosted a wizard world.I hope the Walker Stalker Team can learn from Wizard World. It would make the experience perfect!
Sorry forgot to add, we are going to Walker Stalker Atlanta 2015. GOLD tickets! This is why we hope photo ops are better organized.
Does anyone know who will be at the convention for 2015 in Atlanta? And if I do play on going, when should I buy the tickets?
For the questions about the convention. Each guest charges a range of 30-60 for an autograph and 20-40 for a photo at the table. I went to 2014 walker con and got a table photo with almost every actor with the exception of Andrew and Norman. Norman is the most expensive autograph he has been charging 80 bucks lately. If you are coming from far away i highly suggest some sort of VIP pass. This convention is the BEST convention experience i have ever had and i highly recommend it to anyone who is a Walking dead fan.
I can’t imagine not going to panels. That’s the best part. I would like to see at least an hour of Scott Gimple talking. Seriously.
2013 – stayed at the Omni, several of the stars stayed there that first year… Scott Wilson took his cigar breaks across the street from the hotel smoking area…. he was GREAT! He’s SO sweet.
2014 – stayed at the Hyatt. “Tripped” over a couple of the cast members, away from their “handlers,” and they, too, were awesome. Norman being probably one of the most energetically interactive with his fans. But if they’re “on the clock,” their handlers are VERY strict, and not very nice about it in some cases.. If you catch, I think, any of the celebrities while they’re on their own time, and you don’t take excessive advantage of the opportunity, will let you get a quick cell (or whatever) pic with them.
So excited just bought my tickets!!! I wonder if Maggie or Glen will be there! !#
