I was wondering if someone has gone before that could give me a little in sight on what to expect? I have general admission tickets. Can we still meet the actors with those tickets and does it cost extra to meet them? Any info would be awesome!! Me and my 16 yr old daughter are going and we are so excited!!
First, general admission gets you access to all panels and the venders room. VIP ticket holders do get to be seated first at panels but there are a lot of chairs in the main panel room. Basically VIP holders get to go to the front of the line for most lines which include autographs and professional photo-ops. But general admission can meet any of the guests when they are at their booths (some exceptions require pre-registration like Andrew Lincoln, who is really great to meet). Autographs can range from about $30-$50 or higher depending on the guest. They all seem to provide a photo to get signed, just choose which one you want. Some guests will take a photo with you but some don’t because lines are very long. Pre-purchase any professional photo-ops if you can and check with the photo-op desk for any schedule changes. Lines can get long so bring something like a crossword puzzle to have fun while you wait. The guests always seem very happy to meet you so smile and have a great time. Hope that helps.
general admission tickets are ok if you don’t want to meet the big name stars – last year people stood in line all day to meet 1 person and still came away with nothing. the lines do not move because all the vips keep getting to go to the front of the line. you might get 1 big name star after standing in line all day if your lucky. have fun.
